I am a DONA certified Birth Doula, APPA certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, Stillbirthday Birth and Bereavement Doula and a childbirth educator. I’m a mother of three beautiful girls and one little boy. My first was born in a hospital, and the other three were born at home. I grew up in small town Saskatchewan and lived in Fort McMurray for 8 years before moving to Red Deer, where I’ve been a doula since 2012.
I believe that every woman should have the birth she wants and deserves. The transition to parenthood can sometimes be a daunting time, and it’s my goal to make it as smooth as possible, whether it’s your first time, or you’re adding another little one to your family. I think that fear reduction in birth is of the utmost importance! I help my clients make decisions about different aspects for their birth by offering experience and information. I will be a constant presence during your birth to help provide support, comfort and coping techniques to not only the mother, but her partner as well. I will support any informed decisions you make. In my opinion, there is no “right” way to birth, only the right way for you. It is my goal that all of my families look back on their births with satisfaction and joy.
